Crypto for side hustles & quick payouts

Running a small side gig (graphic design, content writing) and clients sometimes want faster/cheaper payments than PayPal or bank transfers. Has anyone switched to accepting crypto for freelance work? How do you turn it into usable cash quickly without losing too much?

Yeah, I’ve been accepting crypto for freelance since mid-2025 - clients love the low fees and speed (especially international ones). I ask for USDT on low-fee chains like Tron or Polygon so gas is pennies. The trick is having a wallet that lets you hold it safely then either swap to fiat or spend directly via card without manual selling every time. That way you avoid timing the market wrong during dips. I’ve been using one that makes the whole receive → spend loop really smooth: https://plumex.io/ - they have clear examples of how freelancers can receive payments and convert/spend instantly for bills or groceries. I probably cover 60% of my living expenses this way now. No more waiting 3–7 days for PayPal to clear or paying 5% fees
