About me

Norman Fenton is Professor Emeritus of Risk at Queen Mary University of London and a Director of Agena, a company specialising in artificial intelligence and Bayesian probabilistic reasoning. He spent 47 years in academia before retiring in 2022.
A mathematician by training, his research has focused on quantifying risk and uncertainty using Bayesian methods. He is the author of seven books and over 350 peer-reviewed papers. His work spans multiple domains, particularly law, forensic science, and medical risk assessment, and he has acted as an expert witness in major criminal and civil cases.
Since 2020, he has been prominent in analysing Covid risk data. His 2024 book Fighting Goliath, co-authored with Martin Neil, exposed the flawed science and statistics behind Covid policies. As a result of this work, he was publicly labelled a “conspiracy theorist” and “right-wing extremist”.
In 2025, he joined the Advance UK Party as a College Member, with a specific brief to address corruption, ideological capture, and structural dysfunction within British academia.
