Rear caliper seized – replace or rebuild?

Rear passenger caliper on my Octavia is completely stuck, handbrake barely works too. Local shop quoted high for rebuild, but I'm thinking full replacement might be better long-term. Any reliable places online for rear calipers with good warranty?

Seized rear calipers often mean the parking brake mechanism is rusted inside- rebuilding can work but if corrosion is deep, new/reman is safer to restore proper handbrake function. I replaced both rears last year after one seized solid. This site https://elartcom.eu/categories/brake-calipers-4 had exactly what I needed- single calipers or pairs, some with integrated parking brake levers, compatible with VAG cars. Went for reman with a decent warranty, included new sliders and bleed nipples. Installation was straightforward, handbrake feels firm again, no uneven pad wear since. Delivery to Czechia was quick too. If yours is similar, check their category and vehicle selector- much cheaper than stealing from a scrapyard or overpaying locally.
