In Feb 2024 Israeli hostage Louis Har was reunited with his family after being rescued from Gaza by the IDF. I was so moved by a widely circulated photograph of the family reunion that I did a pen and ink drawing based on it.

It turned out that one of my nieces in Israel knows the Har family and forwarded a scan of my drawing. I was very happy to send the original drawing to them.
Today I got this short video from them thanking me.
Let's hope that all the remaining hostages in Gaza will be reunited soon with the families.
